ndmmxiaomayi SG Ha, would have expected that from you. I wonder will this convert me from a FF fan to an Opera fan. Hmm…
LatecomerX SG I hope it does. You would probably miss the add-ons withing the first few days after switching over, which I did, but trust me, the difference in speed and ease of use makes it all worth it.
LatecomerX SG It's not just the features. It's that clean and simplistic feel when using it which drew me over. But oh well, different people have different tastes. If you're happy with something, stick with it.
Y_Shun SG the trash can thing already have in opera long long time ago lehs i find it easier to press than FF. lol the 'Full History Search' is dangerous for shared computers... later go watch those things...then those results pop out
Y_Shun SG if i am nto wrong, shockwave, flash not enabled yet. but so far so good, surfing sgforums got no problems.
LatecomerX SG Argh you beat me to it. Anyway, here's the official page: http://www.opera.com/products/desktop/next/
ndmmxiaomayi SG Anybody facing setting your homepage problem? I can't get it done. It always show the Speed Dial page. My first problem with it. Overall, very fast. Faster than the other versions tested.
LatecomerX SG I tried and it works. Hmm maybe you have missed out the "Tools > Preferences > General > Startup" option?
LatecomerX SG Hmm a little risky, but you can try deleting the Opera profile from your Application Data folder and let Opera re-create it if this helps. If it comes to the worst, then re-install the whole thing lo.
ndmmxiaomayi SG Eh, Opera has the same URI vulnerability as Firefox. http://xs-sniper.com/blog/remote-command-exec-firefox-2005/ Out of the 5, the URI that triggers Telnet works. One of damn settings in Opera allows that and can't be removed.
LatecomerX SG Remove unnecessary protocol handlers from Opera through Preferences > Advanced > Programs should do the trick.
ndmmxiaomayi SG Telnet is the only one that can't be removed. Even changing via opera:config has no effects. The rest has been removed successfully. Ha, I would see how Opera reacts to this. Unregistering via Windows manually doesn't help too.
