leehexin SG Eh the Cpu-z stated that i have 4 ram slot but the online scanner stated that i only have 2 ram slot? so i have how many slot together de? so when i go to the shop i ask for DDR2 PC2-4200, 5300, 6400, 8500 ram chip?
orionlight SG Your computer seems to have 2 RAM slots and they are all occupied.Your setup is currently 2X256 RAM.To add in more RAM, you have to remove one of the stick.Buy the DDR2 533MHz RAM
LatecomerX SG Yup, just dump the 2 old RAM sticks and get 2 new 1-gigs one for around $80 or so. RAM's has been cheap these few days; wonder if the price will rise again someday? And shouldn't it be DDR2-667? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR2#Specification_standards
ndmmxiaomayi SG Doesn't really matter, as long as it's DDR2. Unless that motherboard is also one of a kind.
LatecomerX SG I remember some articles mentioned that the clock speed of the RAM should match the front-side bus of the CPU in order to the most juice out of the CPU.
