technoboy SG 403 Forbidden The following error occurred: Access denied by access control list. Could not open error file Why do I get this error when I try to access the website? I asked my friend to check but his is working perfectly fine...
storywolf SG it mean that one is a securited server, only people with access rights can access it - it is not open to general public !!!
technoboy SG I'm using a personal laptop. So I'm the only one using it. Anyway, the website is a game website. www.runescape.com So I don't think they would have blocked me or anything since it's not some kind of security website or something right?
ndmmxiaomayi SG Whether or not you own the laptop is not my problem. But who’s providing you with the Internet access?
technoboy SG So sorry, the problem is here again. It seems like it's working at random timings. I'm using my house connection. Wonder if it's the problem with my browser or computer?
Xcert SG ur connection is wireless or wired? take a look at ur firewall/router.Reboot them if necessary.
MyPillowTalks SG im also unable to acceess it last time i play runescape, can play until happy happy now forbbidden liao and i notice quite alot of website is forbidden, like Cbox
technoboy SG Latest update, when I changed to my old wired modem. I can access it. But when I switched to the 2wire modem, I tried with both wireless and wired but to no avail. What should I do?
technoboy SG Not that I know of. Have been using it for sometime already and this problem only arised recently. and what’s weird is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
ndmmxiaomayi SG Access denied error is most likely due to firewall or some babysitter softwares of sort. Usually caused by routers. The latter problem is caused by your parents or ISP. If you signed up without reading properly, you might find yourself in that predicament.
technoboy SG Most probably then it's the firewall. Don't think it's software because both my computers are affected. I'm sure I didn't install any other software. Parents doesn't know how to do such stuff and probably not ISP because the problem was gone after I changed my modem. So Mayi is there anyway I can check if the firewall is indeed the root of the problem? Thanks!
