Be mindful of your decisions, Bowling Manager 2002/2003. Players might voice their displeasure by not turning up for training, or simply perform badly during crucial matches.

Personally, i like to issue fines, saves the club some money.

Also, it may help to field players with a "Big Matches" rating of 15 to 20.

Thanks for visiting, Harmzuay. You are right in a way. I suppose it's sorta like what you hear as "a good problem" in soccer, having too many players, who are all raring to go! Which is really great, I must say Smile

I want the squad to do well, but I also want everybody to play some games, so as to make their registration fee's worth. Unfortunately, sometimes it's hard to achieve these objectives at the same time. Neutral

Fine them for games below 170, Chuano? The players will tell you that our coffers will be filled by now. Big match ratings don't seem to apply to these players!! They get up and down unpredictably, against both good and poorer teams. Being the inexperienced bowlers we are, consistency will always be an issue.

Hence the little dilemma.

Hopefully you 2 can join us next time. Really. Plus Titan too. It'll be superb.... maybe even 2 squads. I think we have enough people. Plus Deamon and Airgrinder plus the ladies, you know.

BM2002/2003 strikes!

Scores are out. We're officially in 7th place, 11 points behind 5th placed Jedi (who won impressively 14-7 against 4th place K-Force). More importantly, we're just 2 points behind Juz-Us now.

Just for interest's sake, we're 41.5 points above the hapless Eagles.

MingTing, Jae, Ian and Weixiang in that order. Cool
Myself and Dingster will be on hand for standby.

Next week's combatants against TIGER! (20th Aug):
A combo of 4 from Jae, Ian, Dinghua, Weixiang and myself.
Basically our bigger guns.

Final week of leg 2, versus K-FORCE (27th Aug) will feature:
Louis, Brendan and Jae, with the 4th bowler unconfirmed for now.

Point to note: Kehan has classes to attend on Tuesdays, and until further notice from himself, he's going to be unavailable for most of the games from now on. Sad No more showtime liao. He did mention he might "pongtang" when his hand feels itchy.

Great job by WXman to overcome a dreadful start in the 3rd game to string a superb 5 bagger in his last 3 frames for a valuable 2 pointer!

Excellent. Simply excellent. We managed to collect 9 out of 16 points in the individual stakes, but only managed 1 out of 5 for the team games. Overall we lost by the narrowest of margins, 10-11. If not for WX's late charge, we would have lost by 8-13.

Our dudes Jae, Ian and WX managed to snare 3 points apiece, but poor MingTing got overwhelmed by her consistent opponent.

As expected, we managed to get 2 points for round robin. Juz Us got 3 points whilst Jedi got mauled 17-4 by Hi-Rev (yay) and got 1 point. Eagles once again got 0 points for round robin.

Where does that leave us? Question

We are STILL in 7th place. But we are NOT far away! We must keep on striving! We have 132.5 points. Jedi has fallen to 6th place, 4 points ahead with 136.5 points. Juz-Us are now in 5th just 1 point ahead of Jedi with 137.5 points. Hmmm the chase is on!

Well, it's easier to explain to you at a bowling alley. There are several kinds of splits.

In layman terms, a split occurs where you have more than 2 pins standing after you have thrown your first ball Cool

Pins(or 2 or more sets of pins) will be a distance away from each other That's the best I can do for now Smile

Go down to any bowling alleys and inquire the counter staff. I am sure they will be glad to assist new bowlers Mr. Green

To sup Ding's explanation, "split" can be defined as pins left after the first throw, such that they are a distance from each other. Examples are 2 pins on the extreme left and 1 pin on the right. A bowler is usually un-enuthasia about "splits" as it is relatively difficult to know down all of it in a single 2nd throw. Cool

perhaps the writer to this statement sees that a "split" with pin1 standing is easier compared to other "split" situation, thus not classifying it under the "split" category. Mr. Green
