i have a sd card from my camera which is write protected sia.. how to remove the protection huh? the switch thing beside the sd card dun work 1 leh.. how?

Can you plug in the SD card to read the files? If no, try reading directly from the camera.

Or use a USB cable to transfer.

yes.. i can read the files.. but when i try to delete it or change anything inside, it says it write protected.. any ideas?

Right click on the file and select Properties.

Select the General tab.

Make sure that the box "Read-only" is not ticked.

tried that already.. there is no box for me to uncheck.. and no general tab...

Try Google the next time round. Here's a possible solution regarding your issue.

Problem:
Write-protection tab went nutz.

Solution:

put a piece of tape over the switch on the sd card and it will work.

Explaination:

An SD interface includes a tiny copper finger which the write-enabling tab of an inserted SD card depresses onto another copper contact thus closing the circuit which enables the writing to take place. I suspect that that tab inside your SD reader is broken, bent, or somehow inoperable.
