ndmmxiaomayi SG This one is quite recent, I think, although I think it may have been around for some time. I've just received 2 emails on it. Some websites, which uses advertising to generate incoming, has taken additional steps to write special codes to block users using the Firefox browser because certain Firefox addon could block advertising. Here is one of the error received: http://whyfirefoxisblocked.com/ Firefox Block Code A few write-ups and complains by users: http://www.metafilter.com/63894/Firefox-bad-for-the-Internet My new hated website! My hated blog! This is outrageous! I will find out with a way to bypass this. Just you wait.
rathcycle SG mayi no need come out with way to bypass it FF will come out with a better addon that bypasses all scripts.
ndmmxiaomayi SG If you can bypass JavaScript by using NoScript, they can still use server-side scripting such as PHP and ASP. You will never bypass server-side scripting unless you hack the server. Now, for some revenge. Say, it's sweet! http://www.gigaloader.com/ Go flood that damn server that uses the Firefox block codes.
ndmmxiaomayi SG This is bad. Very bad. This site blocks Firefox: jacklewis.net/weblog/archives/2007/08/firefox_is_now.php His site should be named Jack ***, rather than Jack Lewis. I think there's something wrong with his script, it screwed up my IE. My IE is squeaky clean.
meltz SG something wrong with the block code .. first time u enter with firefox no problem .. but when u temp allow jacklewis.net .. than the firefox blocking code start to work .. but if u clear the cache and temp file .. restart firefox .. u can go in to the site again
ndmmxiaomayi SG You can check the PHP script files. There are some samples which I posted in the linkys.
meltz SG i been using general.useragent.extra.firefox as googlebot .. that y it can get in .. coz detect browser as Your Browser: Googlebot v2.1 temp
Gackt247 SG OMG.. i'm an IT idiot.. all tt tech lingos.. lol.. Mayi is the Goddess of IT, Bypass, Hacking and other Computer Vices.
manyu882 SG for consumer is bad news. for them they have no choice.. they still have a family to feed
dumbdumb! SG i dun think u can bypass from user's side. cuz the script's on their server side. what's so nice abt their website tt u must see?
LatecomerX SG It can be bypassed. They check against the user agent string - which can be changed from the user's side. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59
ndmmxiaomayi SG In my opinion, any developer that blocks IE is bound to lose more than 80% of the users.
