Hi there,i would like to know if there's any services in shops that provide service of extracting the video frm video casettes and all?wat type of shops does that?

I got quite alot of old '90s 8mm video cassetes and i wanna have the video in data format so i can store in my ext HDD should the cassetteh fail.

Apparently my family did backup the V.C but to VHS in the past and thats like a dead media as well lol.

How much do they charge and must i provide DVDs 4 them 2 transfer the data too?

Dunno. I guess there should be such services, since it should be do-able. VHS TV-out to TV tuner TV-In, then frameserve in video editing applications and encode in any desirable format.

If they still have the VHS discs, you can try bringing those discs to shops and convert them. Those services are quite popular because people no longer want to keep the bulky tapes at home.

Oh.There's no service for the tapes itself?Because VHS aint very reliable and mould will grow, hence spoiling the videos.
