Vista DRM could hide malware

I just found that vista doesn't allow user to search files based on the file content.
for example, I want to search files that contains the keyword "Peter". Both XP, 2000 allow that, but vista don't.
So stupid.

Another difference that I found after using vista is the interface, just the UI alone then my computer need to use so much more memory. Left very little for my other application to run.
lol

btw, anyone know where can I buy MAC OSX, can it install in intel hardware? How much it cost?

abao SG

One thing i encountered while installing software on ppl's Vista PC... for every program u try to open or install, they will prompt up a box asking you whether you want to open it or not. 99% of the time i find it annoying... adds 10% to your installation time, coz you need to manually click "Allow" Neutral

And about the enable administrative mode post up in this page, you can only enable it if you have a Windows Vista Business or Ultimate version. Coz you won't get to see some of the advanced user options in Vista Home Basic or Home Premium...

Talk about $ and functions, eh... Rolling Eyes

ndmmxiaomayi SG

The searching functions in Vista has changed, if I'm not wrong.

As for Mac OSX, yes, you can. But if buy the OS itself, not sure..

ndmmxiaomayi SG

Just turn of UAC... it will stop those popups.

Vista is just another idiotic OS, unless you get the Ultimate version, you won't be getting what you are paying for.

In all due respect, I see Mr Bull Grates as the world's smartest cheater. Embarassed
He can fool so many of us with that load of crap and we all happily pay in hundreds to buy his stuff although there are better options available.

Sigh.. Sad

All hail Free Linux!!!
All hail openSUSE!!!!!

The effects and stability shown in openSUSE are like 10 times way better then what Vista will ever be able to do with any number of patches or service packs..
Any other openSUSE+Beryl user here? :p

caleb_chiang SG

I think the best reason being... it's not free... Laughing

=Optimus= SG

It's a resource-eating monster, and expensive too Mad

coolgeek84 SG

Yep, Vista takes 15GB or more and Linux takes 2GB or LESS to do the same thing.. Laughing

Plz note that compatibility mode is available in XP aso, its not a new feature at all.
