manyu882 SG i'm aware of this.. but then i dont know which version was infected it was until i Run a copy which downloaded from Torrent. its the business version cracked using kms activation server. it has to be run in a virtual machine player like vmware. people beware! the symptoms are that your Host pc(non virtual pc) will lag.. startup or shutdown..even if the cracked version isn't run. so thats why i this morning go reformat my computer.
ndmmxiaomayi SG You really hor... asking for trouble. By the way, you are lucky you tested Vista on VMWare, otherwise, you really need to reformat... doesn't really matter since you reformatted already.
manyu882 SG no la.. that version must load to vmware player one. cos its in virtual harddisk and config mode. this version i use to test it on my laptop. but really.. vmware allows drag and drop from host to virtual pc or vice versa. thats how i got infected from the virtaul vista. the "crack" i'm using for my main computer isn't infected.

manyu882 SG if its free.. check it whether is upgrade disc or not.. if not its not worth it to upgrade unless u do a little workaround to clean install it..
ndmmxiaomayi SG One thing about upgrade disc, you cannot reverse back to XP. Why? It invalidates XP license key. You'll have to do a clean install (uninstall Vista, then install XP)

ndmmxiaomayi SG Upgrade disc is used when you have XP. This will just upgrade your XP to Vista. The installation disc aka full package is used when you are not using XP (maybe wrong, but I know 9x cannot upgrade). You will use this installation disc, which will remove your previous systems.
