Hmm... no news on Vienna... and Windows 7 is said to be Vienna.

But that damn MS don't want to confirm. Rolling Eyes

GSL SG

You sure it is in 2010 not 2009 ?

I had seen on other website that said the next windows OS will be out in year 2009 according to 1 of microsoft senior vice president.

ndmmxiaomayi SG

Ya, sure. MS redid the calculations and pushed it back by a year. However, testers will be able to get it in year 2009. Official public release is set on year 2010.

By definition of testers, it includes developers, invites and those under Microsoft Software Assurance Plan partners. Those under SAP, will be one of the first testers of Windows 7.

what do you need next? a Cray? Laughing

Typical MS. Anyway, looks like MS has done a lot for Vista. Hardware compatibility shouldn't be an issue now, unless your hardware is damn new.

ndmmxiaomayi SG

Hammer. Laughing

GSL SG

Hardware compatibility probably will be an issue as microsoft said that the new OS is base on some parts of vista.

ndmmxiaomayi SG

My bad. I meant Vista. Not Windows 7.
