Ok I am confused. My manual tells me this:

Main Memory
-Supports up to two DDR2 devices.
-Supports DDr2-400/533.
-Maximum size is up to 2GB.

I looked up on crucial.com and it shows me this:

Max Unbuffered DDR2 SDRAM: 4096MB
240-pin DDR2 DIMM Banking: 4 (2 banks of 2)

It's a Biostar P4M800 Pro-M7 btw.

Slotting in is easy. Look for the "teeth"

Notice in the above picture that there's a hole. Before slotting in, hold it slightly above the RAM slots, make sure that this hole matches with the slot. If it doesn't, just flip over (not turn it upside down, but turn from left to right or vice versa).

bring ur manual to the shop, give to the salesperson and ask him for 2 sticks of RAM of 1GB each
go home, open ur cpu, see where ur present in-use RAMs are, unlock both sides (left and right), take both out, put those 2 tat u bought in, lock it on both sides for both RAMs, ensure that nothing is left inside ur cpu, close ur cpu, switch on ur com and it will run abit more faster

here's my qn:

i'm thinking of upgrading my rams but is unsure of the max capacity of my motherboard...

using aida32, it shows this

does that mean the max is only 1GB or 4x1GB?

some specs of my com:
Model: Acer aspire RC550
Processor : Intel Pentium 4 2.6 MHz
Ram: 256Mb

would appreciate if someone can enlighten me on this!
