my bookmarks!

where have they all gone to?!

any possible reasons ?

virus etc? or because i upgrade my firefox then my bookmarks all gone.

Show hidden files and folders

Then go to Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks

Click on File > Import

Follow the instructions.

If you are using Windows 9x/ME, find bookmarks.html in this folder:

C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles OR C:\Windows\Profiles\your username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

If you are using Windows 2000/XP, find bookmarks.html in this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Vista should be the same.

The folder is slightly transparent… if they are hidden files…

Did u select the correct folder to look into when u’re at the Documents and Settings Folder? Wads your username u used to login at your computer?

You have to find out your Windows login username first.

Also which version of Windows are you using. That step is for Windows XP.

You said you upgrade. Did you uninstall before upgrading or did you use the auto upgrading method (as in Firefox prompts you to upgrade)?

managed to find 1 backup created not long ago

recovered some bookmarks

at least not all r gone Mr. Green
