t4zm4nian SG was worried i dun know how to take out the HDD and plug in into my pc. i will take this alternative as the last option . 1 more thing . my hard disk there is light on.
duckling SG actually does windows notify you that there is a device connected that it cannot determine? If got problem there should be a balloon pop up and say something like that. Can also check in your Device Manager got any yellow question marks or not. You can always bring the hdd to some of your friends who know how to recover data. wish u luck.
duckling SG ya, that means it still getting power, but the data connections could be something wrong. That's why if really cannot see the drive, i thought must be some connection problem.
t4zm4nian SG erm.. actually. i suppose the only problem i have now is there isn't a drive appear for me to open up my HDD.. the rest i go check under properties. all working fine. and i am sure is not the usb port problem. cuz i have another hard disk which is working fine..
duckling SG You use the usb same cable for this other hard disk? So no pop up message and no question marks? You sure cannot see the drive in explorer? btw, you say all your PC cannot read this particular HDD is it?
t4zm4nian SG HEY!. i solve it already. Thanks i actually open up the casing and fix it tightly now it works (: thanks for help!!
coolgeek84 SG Are u directly connecting your hdd to the computer? Or through USB HUB? Don't use USB HUB as sometimes the power supplied through the hub may not be enough for the hdd to run. And if you can detect the hdd on other computers, y not just get ur folders from there? Or its a MUST that u be able to get it working on this particular computeR?
lifeisgood9989 SG lol.. common problem.. try this: start> run type this: diskmgmt.msc and u will see ur hdd inside
