K-Meleon, the alternative to Firefox

Finally, a good alternative to Firefox. It's faster than Firefox even with all the plugins that are loaded.

There's not much difference between Firefox and K-Meleon as it's based on the Gecko engine (the engine that powers Firefox).

It's interface, however, looks like IE. I almost thought I'm using IE. Laughing

Tweaking K-Meleon is the same as tweaking Firefox, not too bad. Except some advanced tweaking, which requires you to edit the commands yourself. Unless you know K-Meleon well, the advice is don't touch it.

Support for extensions is lacking though, but I don't think this is an issue, yet.

One new thing - tabs are called layers, otherwise, nearly everything is the same.

No spellchecker, but doesn't matter. Who spells correctly any way? Laughing

Here's a screenshot (doesn't look nice, but can use can le Mr. Green )

Tried that... was good and feels real lightweight. But I can't live without extensions. Laughing All browsers need to upgrade their spell checker to grammar checker. I sure need that help.

I was about to complain about that too, in the meantime, I will just use Firefox if that site is really bogus. Laughing

Meanwhile, I realize the closing tabs got one very BIG problem:

It closes the wrong tabs. For exmaple, I right click to close the K-Meleon page, it closes the Google page which I opened instead. -_-

Maybe I need to check my settings again, I must done something real wrong.

I used the installer. Mine runs okay. You tweak a lot huh. Laughing
