Turning on two firewalls at the same time can lead to problems.
Hence, just turn on one will do.
To configure Windows Firewall,
Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Windows Firewall ->
Uncheck "Don't Allow Exceptions" -> Exceptions Tab -> Uncheck
"Windows Live Messenger"
To configure Norton Firewall,
1 Start Norton Internet Security or Norton
Personal Firewall.
2 In the right pane, click Personal
Firewall.
3 Click Configure.
4 Click the Programs tab.
5 To select all of the rules on the Programs tab, click one rule
and press Ctrl+A on the keyboard. If the Manual Program Control list is
empty, click Program Scan and skip to line
9 of this STEP.
6 Click Remove.
7 Answer Yes to each of the two dialog boxes as
they appear.
8 After the program rules are removed, click Program
Scan.
9 In the Program Scan dialog box, check the box next to each of the
hard drives and partitions that are listed. Click
Next.
10 The scan progress is shown. The scan may take up to 10 minutes
to complete.
11 After the Program Scan finishes, click Check
All.
12 Click Next.
13 In the final Program Scan window, click
Finish.
14 Click OK.
