Unidentified SG my comp dun hav disable automatic restart on system failure leh only these Safe Mode Safe Mode with Networking Safe Mode with Command Prompt Last Known Configeration (your most recent setting that works) Start window normally of the 5 choice , choose anyone will result in system auto restart

MyPillowTalks SG maybe….. u can get a friend, who have large HDD space, then, plug in ur old one as slave hard disk to retrieve the files first, then take it back to ur com, and do the fixing….u feel safer

the_fallen SG Perhaps it's due to your sister anyhow download softwares and programmes which caused it to hang or have errors which is very common since i have friends who complained that their silblings.. recovery works only when the computer is still able to have some start up propably and get to the desktop menu. i would suggest that you reformat your computer, thus you can re-install the whole softwares again and this time, you add additiona user options thus you can control what your sister can do with the computer by limiting the access that your sis uses in her profile.
Unidentified SG ok i used the xp cd and choose repair , it should be the normal blue screen programme , but then it pop to a black screen written : Microsoft windows XP Recovery Console. The recovery console provides system repair and recover functionality. Type EXIT to quit the Recovery Console and restart your computer then a C:\>_ pop up , obviously the instruction was to type EXIT and get out but how do i carry on to repair press enter become C:\> C:\>_ so what now ????
Unidentified SG any idea how to reformat pc without using floppy disk ? reformat diskettee i have , but no hard drive but if possible to download and burn into cd , i think my laptop may be able to help
