popikachu SG I have a problem with my Window Media Player... My computer always get hang whenever i see a video with my internet browser which is using Window Media Player to play a video... I tried IE or FF is still the same... it hang... but when it used flash player, its fine... anyone know what the problem and how to solve this? is it i did not have any Window media player installed in my computer?

ndmmxiaomayi SG WMP by default is installed on all PCs, unless you go and uninstall it (which by the way is near impossible, Windows doesn't allow that) You will need a plugin... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx Windows Media Player 11. Recommended is not to install. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/10/default.aspx Windows Media Player 10 is better. Up to you to choose.
allentyb SG i never face any problem when i download their file perhaps you never install enough codec at all most of the times, its because of codec issue please don't install CCCP and k-lite together because CCCP clash with k-lite

ndmmxiaomayi SG Instructions work for IE6. Start Internet Explorer. Go to Tools > Manage Add-ons... Select Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer from the drop-down list. Scroll down to Video__X_MS_ASF Moniker Class. Click once to select it. Under Settings, select Disable. Repeat for Windows Media Player. For Firefox 2: Tools > Options Select the Content tab. Under File Types, click on Manage... Look for the Windows Media Player icon. Select each of one by one, and click on Change Action... Select Open them with the default application button. Click OK all the way to apply the settings. That should stop it from using the plugins and causing it to crash.
