Recently the button for my HP desktop computer is stuck. It's a
mechanical fault.
Thus I decided to change the casing.
I bought a casing from Sim Lim and proceeded to change the
casing.
the problem arises here.
The interface for the front panel sound on the casing is different
from the
motherboard's one.
Next problem is the power. The mother board's pins that's in charge
of the power. because i dun have the user manual for the
motherboard I couldn't precisely tell which is the two pins for
power.
But by using a screw driver to connect the 2 pins, I manage to
figure out which 2 pins are the ones for power.
When I connect up the cable from the casing tat says "POWER SW" to
the 2 pins and attmept to switch on the computer, It fails to
switch on.
Please desperately need help for the power issue. The sound one
still not so impt. at most no front panel sound output only. but
the power is a must solve if not the money for hte casing go to
waste.
thanx!
