mayi! i need help to download the setup for RP students

well my sis is studying in RP. and her laptop is bought from outside. so she needs to download what UT CLINET 4.0 and .NET FRAMEWORK 1.1 and 2.0.

so i tried dling from her laptop from the myrp, and the dl spd was 0.67!!! yes in decimals.
.net framework, i dl from my laptop from MS site was so much faster. but UT cant be found elsewhere. and when i tried to dl UT from myrp, the speed is again 0.67. how sia?

ok next, my laptop using wireless is able to surf normally. but my sis using wireless too, is unable to connect to our router.

she is using intel pro wireless 2200 BG wireless connection.
is it because of that that cause her connection to be slow?
my router is 2wire 2700HGV

Tell her go school book appointment. She needs to join our school domain before she can download any stuffs that are from our school.

And what on earth is she doing with a laptop that doesn't work? Today is the first day of school and everybody has just gotten their UT client and .Net Framework set up right before school starts.

no no no. her laptop can wireless in school. but at home, her wireless not that powerful. sometimes cant even connect.

Acer or Fujitsu?

Acer has no problems with wireless, but Fujitsu yes.

And the speeds doesn't matter, because Singnet will determine your speed based on the plan you sign up for.

If I didn’t connect to powersocket and just use the batt, my wireless sometimes disconnet itself.. Acer user here.

u have to set ur power settings.

for me, i set the power output v v high. means sometimes when my fren dc due to weak signals i still enjoying quite stable wifi! Twisted Evil

You can go to IT Helpdesk to ask them to install the program required for her to join the domain... Wink
