Why are alot of animals afraid of dogs?

i dont know if this is myth but i hear some bears are afraid of dogs and i know of more animals that are as well.

including lions, and i read in some country that there was a little boy playing outside and a mountain lion entered the back yard and when the parents went out to see why their dog was going crazy they saw that he trapped the mountain lion up a tree

is it the aggresion of a dog that causes fear? or a wild animal on foreign territory thing?

The mountian lion must have never seen any animal in his life before. Must have been the first time he leave the mountain and than he saw a dog who barks so loud and he get scared

Socialist , not all dogs are that fierce and courageous . I have seen some terriers breeds of dogs that are only good in " lip service " which is they will bark loud , non stop .... but when you approach them .... they will run away to hide in one corner . My friend has one such dogs which i consider useless . Last time i used to have a pekinese which is really fierce and courageous cos it really won't hesitate to bite even when it haven bark yet ( Truely a case of silent dog bites the hardest ) . When my uncle took a newspaper from my living room table and starts to leave my house my dog charge at him trying to bite him and only after my uncle gave it two loud whacks on its head then it retreat a few step but it keep staring at my uncle growling non stop . My mum had to call it to stop then it stop growling but still staring at my uncle until my mum close the door .
