Refugees SG Hi, I’m getting a laptop soon but i don’t have a wireless modem at home. Can someone recommend me which brand to get and roughly how much it costs? Thanks
Chin Eng SG subscribe to a broadband service first.... they give you free modem. or use the M1 USB modem, can surf anywhere in Singapore.
Refugees SG I have a broadband connection already. Singnet 1Mbps Unlimited. But they don’t give the Wireless Modem they give normal modem only. Thats why i think it will be better for me to purchase one right?
ndmmxiaomayi SG If you are going to set up a home network, then you will need to buy one. Otherwise, you can just connect your laptop by using cables, need not to be wireless.
Chin Eng SG NOOOOOO! having gone wireless... there is NO TURNING BACK!!! Some more from laptop, lagi cannot go wired. Seriously, I think by and large, most of these products are not very different, but of course, I am not very fussy.
Refugees SG Cable? Very troublesome isn't it? My laptop in my room. My desktop in the living room. Which brand of wireless modem you would recommend me? Looking for one below $100.
ndmmxiaomayi SG Can go wired, just very mafan only. But I would agree with you, once you go wireless, no more turning back! I'm very happy with my home setup now.
ndmmxiaomayi SG Currently, I'm using 3Com. I wouldn't recommend Linksys... quite a few problems. Netgear is good. One of the most stable wireless routers around. DLink is also good.
CHoCo^LaTcH SG tink i saw in papers can top up to get Integrated Wireless router.. Singnet...the white standing 1...
Refugees SG Ya, The difference is $5. Contract 24 months. I would save $120. Than i can use that $120 to get a wireless modem. Is it very difficult to install the wireless modem and set up?
Refugees SG Difficult to install and setup or not? I sucks @ PC. Only know how to chat and play game. LOL!
ndmmxiaomayi SG Have. Integrated with the router, but it's still a modem basically. Some call it ADSL modem router, just because it's a router and a modem.
