thats not a small cross, those are small "plus".. that one no
prob.
Ok, if ur drive is somehow being disable, ur device manager should
show u that drive with a "red X" over it.
Now, that u said there is none of those, meaning ur laptop cannot
see the drive. U tried system restore also no use, meaning its not
the driver or software problem.
Its very common that the disk drive data cable is loose even if it
is a new pc.
So, either u use external disk drive, or u open up ur laptop to
unplug the data cable and re-plug it in.
