His work is very nice. I truly applaud this movement in the
local arts scene. :D However, I can't help but feel that his
graffiti is a bit.... fake. Yes it looks wonderful. I am an artist
myself and appreciate his technical skills. But graffiti that is
'allowed' is kind of not real graffiti in my opinion. He has no
message, and does not utilize the environment fully (although this
is partly because he is confined to 'allowed' surfaces and cannot
fully exploit 'forbidden territory'). Imo, even though his pieces
are more developed and finished, he isn't as successful of a
graffiti artist as someone like Banksy (www.banksy.co.uk), who
actually uses his trade name for identity protection not just as a
fancy 'graffiti artist's thing', and paints on things that
shouldn't be painted on, to leave a message. He does his work
discretely, often hiding from cops, in order to fulfil his
purpose.
This is one of Banksy's images, as an example:

Slacsatu has plenty of skills but not nearly enough spirit.
Then again, Singapore's buildings are so nice, we wouldn't want
them to be 'spoiled' would we..... lol.
