manyu882 SG no reason. but happened to my old com many times before. mainly cos of motherboard. which contols 1/0 switches
popmynutsy SG i mean like the computer totally off. cpu light no more. and just suddenly on by itself.
ndmmxiaomayi SG Static? I’ve tried that. It happens when the electricity has not been fully discharged.
ndmmxiaomayi SG Home or office PC? I don't see how home PC comes with such rubbish. It's not needed anyway.
kawasaki2 SG Seeing a PC turn on by itself without any human interaction is a very rare case indeed. I've yet to experience it for myself.
manyu882 SG yeasame thinking here.. the reason i thought of becase was that the transistor or resistor which connects to the transistor. on the mobo. den the undischarged power connects them. they could have been damaged cos maybe there's a time when the peak voltage exceeded. OR damp air.
ndmmxiaomayi SG Even with remote capabilities, I've never heard of it working without one being by the side to turn on the powers. All remote capabilities as far as I know, requires the PC to be on, not off. Maybe there's really such a software...
ndmmxiaomayi SG Usually PCs take some time to discharge, that's why we always a while before taking out any PC components, to prevent frying the board. Damp air is a possibility, given Singapore's humidity. But enough static to turn on a PC, is really scary.
R3SsH|n SG if u pull out the 3 pin, no way it is gonna start on its own. static or no static, the power remaining within the cpu will not be enough to undergo a boot up.
