Yar, can come join us and have some fun. Dun worry, bowling club ppl are real friendly, we even have our own EST man, how outstanding is that…

Fireball SG

Wao all of you itching to bowl quite badly.Good for all of you! Glad to know that you all have selected a new place to bowl.I will not be attending training with you all this coming june.Chances of joining you all will be slim, hope you all will improve greatly.Happy bowling and score many more victories!

prataman, you got the Optyx?? Damn...it looks good.
Yea, did my homework on the Trauma... when the lanes dry up, I have trouble finding an alternative line coz my urethane Shadow overhooks. SO I'm hoping the Trauma can provide that extra skid, especially at our new league venue SAFRA Yishun, where the backend's quite decent.

By the way, what other Ebonites do you use, Don't tell me you got the Apex too... Smile

Quantum, nah haven't got my hands on it yet, still considering where to get it from. Have to wait for a part-time job to finance it too!

prataman SG

Ok,

Tried the Optyx out last night on a wet wet condition. Not good. Too much over under. Over reacts when sent near the pocket, going thru the nose, and under reacts when sent out. Can't drive back in. However, it displays a great rev rate going into the pocket. But like the Trauma, it needs a good clean backend. Better stick to my Apex on a wet condition. Smile

But I think I have it drilled wrong. I mean, I drilled the Apex for length. Weird.

By the way, me a power stroker with, med to high speed and medium revs.

chuanish SG

A couple of weeks ago at Victor's, 2 PWBA ladies had an exhibition match, Cathy Dorin and Cara Honeychurch... they were using the Optyx and Apex, promoting Ebonite stuff at the same time... that was the first time I saw it in action

Hope you'll find a right balance for your Apex, it'll be painful to waste a good ball

Err...I think I'm more of a tweener, low revs, more pro-roll, rolling is the only way I can get the ball to hook since I lack power in the shot

Quantum SG

hi prataman........where did u drill ur ball? heard that Apex is really a good ball for veri oily lane izzit true? Smile must get a chance to bowl with u to exchange some tips Smile

Ian SG

Believe me...HPC ZONE BEST FOR OILY LANES!
sob..cant use at SAFRA...

anyway..training at safra will be on thurs as usual. at least till our sch starts again.
it'll prob be in the morning though. and those who wanna leave ur BALLS in the alley pls tell me in advance so i can arrange for the amount of space we need and the locks.

Ian SG

oh yeah Chuan, about that cheating spinner from taiwan...
i saw him play in the S'pore open that day when i was at Tampines safra. He sucks big time and he is really a loudmouthed ass. every bad shot he made he cursed everything under the sun but himself..his mouth smellier than mine... oh yeah..he made bad shots most of the time...

chuanish SG

He's worse than you??? Man... that's REALLY bad... Smile
By the way, I wanna leave my gear there, Westerner...

chuanish SG

prataman, you might be interested in this forum post from PBA.com, it's regarding your Optyx

prataman SG

Yep.

It's confirmed, there is a problem. Will be getting it exchanged when the proper batch comes in. Smile Thanks for the help, dude!

Will have to rely on the Apex and my trusty Matrix TRIMAX I for now. Till then, hope you all enter Dimension X.

prataman SG

Quantum,

Maybe one day we can bowl together!! It's true that the Apex is great for oily lanes. It's not that it displays a tremendous hook or anything, but it manages to maintain a great roll without losing much power in hitting the pins.

Unless you don't throw the ball properly of course. Which I do many times... Sad

shleesx13 SG

wah got trg at safra resort......can i join?
please please please...

anyways long time bo hear from u guys hows yer exams coming along?

rdgs,

Seems like a lot of people wanna join us for training, how Prez?

More people equates to cheaper rates and cheaper food right? Economies of scale mah...

Ian SG

Well, i dun mind more pple joining actually, its up to u guys. for training no problem, but for the food, i need a constant number or else we’ll always face a shortage or excess. Anyway lets fix our trainings on fri morning till lunchtime, then have lunch there. and those who wanna bowl or swim or watever can just carry on. Maybe a BBQ at my place after the 1st training? have all exams finished by 3rd of June? just let me noe.

Ian SG

And John, thanks for the concern. our exams start on Monday, 14th May. *shudder*
