lolxzxz SG

ya sony got 1 new one 2.8k i getting that Very Happy

ahhui90 SG

budden i dun need one that is so expensive leh =/ sony are alot more expensive, compromising the specs but its lighter.

Darkness_hacker99 SG

The laptop specs is as good as the gaming laptop i wanna buy.

ahhui90 SG

oh ya forgot to mention its L2 4mb cache. from above posts i know that disadvantage is its hot and graphics are lousy since its shared with the ram..

Detailed specs above.

For school work and applications that uses the L2 cache intensively, getting a core with more cache is wise. I heard applications that involves intense calculations loves a proccessor with a generaous L2 cache.

Please also check the lightscribe DVD-writer if it can produce DVD-media design in color or just plain grayscale.

This notebook should not be a light one since it weighs about 2.4kg.

ahhui90 SG

hmm thx for the hint, but i dun think i'll be using lightscribe often. lightscribe disks are expensive? how much is one disk? i'll ask about de colour/greyscale when i buy. as for weight i think its decent enough already lol.

Farmerseed SG

Lightscribe discs varies depends on the brand. You go check yourself i too lazy to. But i doubt its any useful except for decorative purpose. If you do get color discs, please let me know the quality Laughing

One thing useful about lightscribe is you can mark your dics with titles and information of the data written on them. More reliable than ink.

As for weight, if its fine with you its fine with me Very Happy

oreotree SG

just from my exp la. compact = no good liao

wootipwnu SG

dont think its that worth it. 5400rpm for a HDD is lower end. i got my compaq presario v2000 for $1799 last year.
AMD 32bit dual core 2ghz
ati radeon 8500 256mb gfx card
1gb ddr2 sdram
80gb hdd 7200rpm
other specs similar.

if i were you, i would wait for the Suntec IT fair in may/june to get a new lappie. they have darn good deals there. just my 2cents worth =]

if u play games, den intel media accelerator 950 is not enough by the way, 950 is with 224 MB shared memory, nt 128...

acer would be gd, but if u go for look, sony notebooks would be gd. if u go for duarability, den IBM will be better...

DUN install vista hor, since i dun think many of the applications dat poly use will be vista capable....

gigabyte14 SG

everything is nice, but use XP and upgrade the graphic card to X2 of its original capacity.

and then it's perfect.

rmb to take gd care of it too.
