OasisBlue SG Something has happen to my adobe photoshop but i am not sure what... All those pictures that i design turn out to be of a darker tone or shade... Anyone knows how to resolve? Thanks
Båseline SG Did u accidentally revert the images to CMYK? Or that, you might have accidentally change your monitor calibration?
bigmouthjoe SG I think you need to calibrate your screen... forgot which programme I used but you could run a quick search on google. The calibration is so that your screen is of so called correct brightness and color from your actual thingie.
OasisBlue SG Hmm if it is my monitor calibration problem… how come i can see the saved picture is darker on my comp?
ShrodingersCat SG Its probably saved with CMYK colours. did u check that? However, if you are designing for print, then expect that the CMYK colours would be the type of colours seen on print, NOT RGB (even if your inkjet can print RGB tones)
ShrodingersCat SG Depends. YOu could go to edit and check your colour settings. See what is your default colour modes. You could start when you click 'new' and select RGB under mode You could go to image and click RGB before you start working And when you save, see if you have clicked which ICC profile
lifeisgood9989 SG most prob is due to monitor calibration.. is it that u compared ur pic using different computers then u found out about the tone diff?
OasisBlue SG nope... I saved the picture and then went to preview it and it turned out to be of a darker shade
Båseline SG Maybe u can crop that image and upload the image to a free host and we see what may be wrong with it.
OasisBlue SG oops i deleted it >_< Well the color i used... is the same... but it look entirely different... In adobe photoshop, it looks brighter...and i mistaken it for brown... When i saved it and preview it...it is actually quite grayish
Båseline SG NP. Is the image as GIF or Jpeg? The former carries lesser range of colours than Jpegs resulting in dull colours if the colours used are not withing the range.
Båseline SG Ok, Go Menu and select "View" > Proof Setup Is yours in Windows RGB? Mine is Working CMYK cos I do print work most of the time.
OasisBlue SG i changed to window rgb... still the same after which i chose monitor rgb...a nd its now the same color as what is saved as... but... the color on the left(the 2 boxes that show the color u chose) aint the same as what i draw out...
Båseline SG This is a screenshot when I create a new file. Note the profile is my calibrated profile. How's ur screenshot of the colour picker looked like when u double-clicked the foreground colour? here's mine: and oh, make sure under Menu... "Preferences" > General > Color Picker is "Adobe".
