keep getting error when opening avi files

xfool SG

dun know why I keep getting the error block saying the real or windows media player has encounter error and need to be close, I think this happened only after I upgrade my divx player recently cos it got no problem.

can anyone help?
seems only avi files are affected, dat,mpeg,rmvb,mp3 files works fine.

I think probably there is a conflict in the configuration or the installation settings.

Try to un-install your DIVX Player.

If possible, just install the codec, dont install the player as well. Just use your usual player.

Another benefit of un-installing the player, is that you dont need to use many players to open different types of videos. You can consolidate everything and keep things simple, by using one player.

Windows Media Player 11. Actually, just go d/l the latest K-lite codec pack you should be fine.

Or you can try using VLC player.
