Increasing Upload Speed

Hi,

Is there a way to increase the upload speed, or is this capped by ISP?

My upload speed is around 30 kbps.

Is there a way to increase it?

Upload speeds are determined by servers and your modem.

Servers only allow a maximum upload speed of XXX kbps... to prevent people from bringing down their servers...

For cable modem... it seems like most people only can reach a maximum of 16 or higher, determined by their ISP.

30 is probably your highest...

There's nothing you can do to it, except to upgrade (doesn't seem likely to help, most still have problems anyway)

But Im thinking hor......

For download, there are download accelerators which split the files and then download simultaneously and finally output it out.

I'm thinking whether it is possible also with upload.

But then, it depends on ISP side. I dont know what is the maximum upload speed from ISP. If it is capped low then there is no use.

Anybody knows? Whether there is a way to increase upload speed?

Im using Starhub Maxonline.

With internet browser or FTP, the max I reach is 30s kbps only.
