need help with firefox

casshern SG

recently just switch broswer from IE to FF, (hope i made the right choice) anyway, when i view pics that stretches across the screen, IE would give me a horizontal scroll bar to view the whole pic, however FF doesnt, only the vertical scroll bar.

any idea how to enable the horizontal scrollbar?

You know why or not? I tell you why.

Click on tools, and choose options.

Under advanced, choose the general tab.

Then uncheck resize large images.

i duno why, so i ask, den hor, the general tab dun have "Resize Large Images" lei...

ditzy SG

That's because its under an even bigger tab, called Advanced. Laughing

casshern SG

yes... so its Tools> Options > Advanced > General ?

i followed but no options...

ditzy SG

You telling me there is no resize large images to fit in the browser option for you to uncheck there? Laughing

chanff8 SG

Which version of FF you using? In that option, only these settings appear in FF 2.0

An alternative way to view the entire image is right-click and View Image

ditzy SG

No wonder lar, I not using 2.0 lar. Mad

Firefox seems to be going the Windows way. A lot of things get hidden. Follow kaobeikaobu’s link to figure out how to do it.

Yo

My FF crash whenever I click on a PDF link.

I tried some patches, but they don't work.

Any ideas or patches which I can use?

Never open any PDF files directly via a browser. It will crash even the fastest systems.

Save it to a convenient location. Then download Foxit Reader. It is much more faster than Adobe PDF reader.
