This is how it can be done. But not detailed enough for ppl to take
advantage of it.
Most softwares can be cracked by simply importing a re-written
registry file or entering a serial code.
Norton prevents this by using 2 lines of protections. (Amazingly
they did well in preventing hackers,yet not virus from your
computer)
After keying in a serial number (can be easily obtained from the
net), installation will begin.
Before using the program for the first time, you are being forced
to register. The system will double check with Norton's database
live so simple cracking do not work.
Click your way through with your internet connection disabled.
Norton will tell you that you cannot register through the web and
you have a choice of doing it by phone.
You will be given a number to call and the operator will confirm
your purchase and give you a pass-code-sort-of-thing. What you do
is you do not call and instead enter another set of number. If i am
not wrong, the code is 20 plus digit and the first few you can fill
in *. The last few is ****. Or something like that.
Click done, you get pass and amazingly have 2k plus days of
suscription left.
This only works with the pre-cracked version of Norton, which a
pirated CD properly contains.
The information above is only for reference and I strongly suggest
you NOT to use Norton. Don't work as well as half the freewares on
download.com.
