Is IE7 Beta 3 still in Add/Remove Programs list? If yes, try uninstalling from there. Then install IE7.

yup it finally out, but doubt it'll make a big impact here since i know many of u are firefox users. Laughing

so far, reviews wasn't so good i heard. something about ClearType.

IE 7 still did not fix IE6's bug of sudden shutting down.

When I use IE7 to visit sites with odd scripts, it will still shut down and a window asking me to report to ms will come out.

Haix, no problem with FF or Opera

FF sometimes if gt error will hide it from the user. this i abit dun like.

at least it handles png well enough, and definitely more popular den IE7 as of now.

but still for me, its a terrible headache. Neutral

Yup. Sad to say, FF still ran into scripts it cannot process at all. and it will keep quiet and show users the wrong layout or un-clickable tabs.

older IE should be able to auto update to this version. provided u are using windows XP. IE 7 comes with windows Vista as well, but with more functions.

never tried having 2 versions of IE in my com before, not sure whether it can be done or not? alternately u can just uninstall the new version and install back the old version.

Heard some news that IE6 might be auto updated to be IE7, if the user is running XP. Windows 2000 users and below, no worries. You will be stuck with that buggy, full of holes, unsecured IE6. MS has no plans to upgrade you.

And you can't run 2 different versions of IE. If it gets upgraded, it can't be downgraded. As per every version of Windows. Unless you know how. It's troublesome.

If you need both the old and new versions, I guess you need a spare PC then.

Yeah... had this problem with one antivirus website.

And if you are addons, it's lagi worse. Disable it sometimes still don't work properly.

It's confirmed that they are upgrading users who are using XP SP2, 2003, and 64-bit edition of XP.

Damn MS, it's even rated as a high priority update. I don't even need it.

Now, I have upgrade and call MS because of their dumb anti-piracy policies. Evil or Very Mad

And don't even think of downgrading. Once you update XP to SP2, there doesn't seem to have a way to downgrade to XP SP1.

If you are working for a company, just watch out for it. Some companies turn automatic updates on for XP, so you die die have to update.

Anyway, it will just roll out. Maybe just select on custom updates to avoid it. Turn off automatic updates also.

we can't postpone the inevitable. sooner or later majority will be using IE7 since it will come together with Windows Vista. Laughing
