digi video cam

pyjamasgirl SG

hi.. experienced IT pp..

can i ask whats the max duration for video shooting on a 1 GB memory?

1 GB can put in abt 2hrs video or more??

pls advice..

thanks lot.s

Bontakun SG

Set your resolution to the smallest available and quality to lowest and you can get 2 hrs or so in video filming on a 1 G mem stick.

Depends on what format your digicam is recording on... If mpeg4 format, it's about 45 minutes... If mov format, it's about 60 minutes...

Another factor to consider is the resolution of your video clip recording... The higher the resolution, the lesser the recording time...

Bontakun SG

If set to real player format, you think can go to 2 hrs?

pyjamasgirl SG

guys..
thanks for these advices..

but most of the digi v cams now run on memory card only right..

am actually looking for a affordable v.cam running on dv tape and of course w a ext. mem slot.

currently, looking at creative v cams. only setback is only expandable to max 1GB. which i think is confirm not enough..

want it for bangkok trip.. Embarassed

Bring a laptop or any storage devices which can transfer files from the stick to a HDD. Mr. Green

dork3d SG

Hmm... Don't think it can... Tried mov format recording on a Kodak CX330 digicam, only lasted about an hour of recording with low resolution...

dork3d SG

What's your budget for the videocam? Around $350?

Bontakun SG

Hmm... then not easy.

pyjamasgirl SG

yeah something like that..

any lobang??

dork3d SG

Hmmm... Can go to Mustafa and check out JVC...

pyjamasgirl SG

Deleted. See the post above dork3d.

pyjamasgirl SG

sorry..
double post..

anyway.. was looking at some 2nd JVC v.cams too..

deciding between JVC or canon..

argh..

budget constraint..

pyjamasgirl SG

btw..
is thumbdrive a external storage device??

dork3d SG

Consider yes... A thumbdrive is an external storage device...

dork3d SG

If considering second hand videocam, get a JVC as it's easier to get any spares...

pyjamasgirl SG

oh, so how to 1 store my data in mem card into thumb drive? i still need to bring my lappy along, right?
