No one wants Hell
Hell freezes over

A DOMAIN ASSET management outfit has had a devil of a job flogging
the domain name www.hell.com
The name was among hundreds of Internet domain names up for an
auction in Hollywood, Florida, run by Moniker.com.
Apparently the owner, BAT Flli, wanted a million dollars for it,
thinking that if names like sex.com could make about $12 million
there would be a large number of punters who would like their own
internet hell.
It is the second time that BAT Flli has had a go at flogging hell.
In 2000 he wanted $8 million for it, so it seems to have go cheaper
in these post modern times.
This time, like the last, Hell failed to meet the reserve price,
which probably means that as an existential concept it is doomed to
be thrown into the dark age scrap heap that invented it.
A spokesman for the auctioneers confirmed that "the world is still
alive and well. Nobody is going to hell right now". As it ever
was.
