crispylips SG I need to get a laptop for my dad. He wants it to be able to surf net(wireless), and normal word processing(Chinese too!). I am trying to find one that is durable enough physically and software-wise(don't want it to hang so often) Specs considering. -Centrino Duo(more stable right?) -ram?(how much do i need to run it without lagging?) -HD (std around 80GB) Any recommandation? Went to Best Denki. Compaq Presario was recommended. Dad seems to like it. Is Compaq good? Need to make descision by this week. welcome any help!

ditzy SG My office has this brother fax/scan/copy machine, and somehow it always works when the HP laser breaks down.
-[0]- SG Compaq sarks more than Dell imo. I used it before. The only disadvantage with Compaq is that their computer isn't compatible with other softwares except their own. So if you want to install certain software, you have to buy one with the word COMPAQ on them.
