i heard botanic gardens not bad but got ang-mohs and the area is
a bit commercialized, un-natural, artificial.
Lim Chu Kang (old Lim Chu Kang road and the area beyond that) is
not bad, esp the graveyard area, very peaceful and full of
greenery.
the whole area is very peaceful.
pulau ubin is also not bad, but try not to go on weekends, very
crowded and spoil the mood.
