Norton's previous versions are good enough, just never upgrade.
If you upgrade, you get those crap.

The 3 are Symantec, McAfee and CA (Computer Associates or eTrust,
whichever you know). That major company is Microsoft, which deleted
their own files and busted people's PCs.
18. When Norton uninstalls its self because a virus threatened
it.
This one, actually happens to most antivirus vendors, especially
famous ones.
4. If it comes bundled with a computer and you dont run
thorough set up it will pop back up every time you log in.
This one is gone case. Those who never uninstall properly will
end up having to reformat the computer because it literally
destroys everything. 
There's an uninstaller somewhere on Symantec's website. I go
