Samsung Unveils 7-Inch Flexible LCD

Samsung Electronics, the worlds largest maker of liquid crystal
display (LCD) products, Monday took the wraps off a seven-inch
flexible LCD module, the biggest ever in history.
The futuristic product uses a pair of high-end plastics, which are
not brittle and also thinner than conventional glasses, as plates
to sandwich liquid crystal for the display.

Samsung said the plastic LCD module is designed to maintains its
thickness uniformly even when it bends as well as enabling
higher-definition quality than the firms five-inch products, the
biggest one up until now.
``On the back of its various strengths, plastic LCD would open up
new possibilities for wearable displays or fashionable displays in
the not-so-distant future, a Samsung spokesman said.
