ok i tried that and the first one i opened worked after a long struggle and the 2nd one hang, they are like over 200,000kb each.

i remember last time my FYP thesis i never bother to separate to chapters, so its one lump of a super big doc. file, like almost 80-100mb.

so open microsoft word, then select that file to open, you will be asked which format you want to open with....just try loh...

or you can use Wordpad (NOT notepad), it should be quite fast. I once open a 80mb txt file (pure txt) using wordpad, it opens like within 5 seconds! fast!

im using amd64. my files are 200mb. i used microsoft word and it didnt work. now using wordpad with rtf.

another way is reduce all your background memory usage, like no-use programs all off, crtl+alt+del, then in applications or processes, try to end some background staff.

Else when you successfully got into the word file, immediately is to delete half of it off and SAVE IT AS ANOTHER FILE NAME, same as cutting half into two file. Very Happy
