troublemaker2005 SG Why is it that most digitalcam out there will not have AA/ AAA batteries for their power supply source instead manufacturers uses proprietor battery models? Is it they are afraid that they will have no business since proprietor batteries are not as sturdy as AA/ AAA and unlike AA/ AAA batteries which are easily available. Proprietor batteries may be obsolete and run out of production by then if the digicam is still working it will still be a piece of junk and we have to buy a new digicam again I find the Creative Divi Cam 525D an affordable digicam that can at least record motion pics at 30fps and a decent 640x480 but it comes with a proprietor battery
ditzy SG My olympus is powered by 4 AA batteries, no proprietary ones, just AA rechargeable, but it sucks energy like a leech. So I still stick with my kyocera one, with proprietary batteries.
troublemaker2005 SG I just check out Sony, Nikon and Canon...no models there suits my requirements. As for AA/ AAA rechargeable ones should last longer. I own a SOny DSC-P73 (old model oredi) but it can record 45 mins with a 1GB ms at 640x480 (std) @ 16.6 fps. With a ms-pro tthen i can go 640x480 (fine) @ 30 fps. Maybe i will check out the 2 manufacturers you guys mentioned first see how....... ........Okay found one Olympus model but it plays 30 fps 640x480 in Quick Time motion JPEG. http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1220&fl=4
