Codec can be a very likely cause, however since you are using
Nero Vision, if you did not play around with the settings too much,
it should not be a problem.
Inaccuracy in the timeline of videos after editing or encoding are
usually caused by low pc specs. A system with low RAM or processing
power will result in bad video editings, especially if you are to
encode it into DVD.
