Norton products. Any users?

Anyone using Norton Systemworks 2006? I’m using the 2003 version. Does it include antivirus, ghost, go back???

They do have bundle product but I try to download, keep having error. No choice, I have to go buy one 2morrow. Any idea where I can get one at a lower price?

If you want to buy, can buy from yahoo auctions its much cheaper. And norton security binds the firewall and Antivirus so its more worth it.

I used to have Norton Internet Security 2005.

Well, it's a very powerful product which does very well in protecting your computer against external threats. The problem I had with it was that it was TOO powerful. My laptop slowed down to a crawl thanks to it.

Once my subscription expired I immediately uninstalled it and downloaded free firewall and antivirus software. My computer's been happy ever since - while remaining safe at the same time.

I tried Norton Internet Security 2006 few months ago.

Yes, you are right that it lags your computer. Totally true! But what for? I just got some trojan, simple keyloggers, basic programmed virus from a friend (he collects them) and did a scan on them with Norton. Just 1 second, and the result is shown, ALL PASSED!!!

I get better protection and virus scan using free scan tools from online. Luckily, i did not buy my copy of Norton. What a waste of money it would be.

yes norton products are RAM sucker, once you installed it, alt crtl del and check how many more app you are running.

Because Norton doesn't use sandbox and heuristics scanning. Both technologies allow the testing of yet-to-detect viruses and how will they affect the system if you got them. If both technologies are present, it will detect and quarantine your files if suspicious programs are found. That is if you set them to do so. Otherwise, they will leave it there.

AVG antivirus uses 4 less processes than Norton… It just slows my computer down…
