mhcampboy SG Yesterday, before I turn off my computer, everything was fine. Even scanned for virus everything. This afternoon, when i turn on my computer, I click on my IE. It lagged for a while before showing me the error msg as shown in the pic below. I restarted my computer many many times. And still cannot. Cant be connection problem cos i can still log into my MSN Messenger. I scanned and deep scanned my comp...but cant find anything. I didnt even touch any registry or delete any files yesterday. So now i had to asked a friend over msn to help me download Firefox and send it to me. Now using firefox. Nothing happened. when i tried IE for one last time, still cannot... anyone knows what is the problem?
MooKu SG Hmmm. I've been getting this message too. I thought it was just a bug or something in my Internet Explorer. But I still can use my Explorer leh.
mhcampboy SG But i cant. after i click okay, IE just shuts down sometimes along with my MSN too. And sometimes too the error msg is abt low on virtual memory something like that. But i already free up tons of space!! now i dunno wad to do.. i miss IE....
MooKu SG my condolences... your head! it's good that IE is gone you're now forced into using better and more reliable browsers. Bear says that Opera is better I don't click OK anymore ever since I got that Winfixer virus. Nowadays whenever there's a unfamiliar dialog box associated with my Internet Explorer popping out, I click the X instead.
dork3d SG If you are using IE 7 Beta, you might want to uninstall it... But if you are using IE 6, maybe you can try reinstalling it, should work after reinstallation...
mhcampboy SG no no..am not using the IE7 beta!... using 6 i suppose. now the question is... how to re install?... LOL
mhcampboy SG care to explain how do one corrupt the registry? cos last night after i close my IE, i str8away turn off my comp. i didnt do anitin to any registry...
alexkusu SG many things can corrupt registry. Improper shutdown, power outages, data not written properly, etc etc. Futhermore, registry is software (means prone to failure) as opposed to hardware.
mhcampboy SG hmmm ok.. lets just say i didnt asked my friend to download firefox for me. how do i re install my IE from my computer as i cant even get into IE......
alexkusu SG actually...how come u can surf sgf now? well..'assuming' you cant surf ah.. ask ur fren dl the setup files for browser like maxthon, avant, firefox, opera, etc and send you via msn lor
mhcampboy SG never read my first post ar?? initially i cant. then i asked a friend to download firefox for me thru msn. tats y now im using firefox. and i miss my IE!!
mhcampboy SG ok. i already did. and i download and installed already. its the same problem. i still cant get in! but instead...the error msg was... low on virtual memory...windows is trying to free up some space...bla bla bla
ndmmxiaomayi SG Try updating Windows again. The previous patches created lots of problems for users. The newest patches solved the problems created. If you still can’t get IE started, try using IE7. If you are too used to IE, try using IE compatible browsers like Avant and Maxthon. They work very much like IE, so you shouldn’t have a problem adapting.
