Copying Video from VCD

I need to copy this video from my VCD to use a 10s clip for a project. Not sure how to go about doing it. Any software to use?

copy the .dat file from the vcd to your computer…try vlc instead…

Can edit the .dat file? Cause I'll need to extract 10s or so out from the VCD.

Just change it to .mpg
