Games on a widescreen laptop

Hey. I have a Compaq Presario V2000 which has a widescreen. It is 1280×768 pixels. I was wondering what would happen if i ran games on the laptop. Will the game screen be elongated?? Thanks in advance.

Most games will overwrite the current system resolution settings with their own game resolution settings so not to worry Wink

Most games have their own settings, so there’s little chance of your graphics being elongated when playing.

can do a little search over the net to see if your game supports the wide screen resolution/ aspect ratio your hardware’s on first..other wise if the inappropriate resolution chosen either you miss part of the viewing area or you have to live with a smaller viewing area with black bars at the top/ bottom/ side. some games have support to allow you to adjust the resolution to the desired resolution before launch.
