Problems with Win XP

These are a list of problems which happen RANDOMLY. I dunno why, cant find a problem? No virus, no registry problems...I dunno what's wrong man. Help pls?

1) U know the starting boot up screen with the blue win xp bar moving from left to right? It will just freeze there in the middle of the boot-up sequence. Have to cold boot again, usually. If I press the reset button the screen gives funny images.

2) When into Windows, display will flicker. Then it will give a black image, but processor still running (cos i see LED flickering when I press the "windows" key) Usually have to reboot

3) When I reboot, it will usually state there's something wrong with one of the values in the registries. But I ran Registry Checker and all turned up fine...so...whats wrong???

For number 2, it could be Windows is lagging. Check that your computer is free of spywares, adwares and computer viruses. Another way is to add more RAM and have lesser startup programs.

For point 3, can you write down what's the error messages?

For pt 3, it'll usually go to the blue screen (scandisk) and check for the drives. Usually my home drive (C, where windows is installed), and E (where I put my dled stuff)

Error would be like wrong value for XXX key =)

This shows that Windows is not properly shut down, that's why it would be scanning. Try waiting for around 5 minutes or so for computer to completely start up.

Is the key something like HKEY_CURRENT_USER? Or is it others? If it is HKEY_CURRENT_USER, it would most likely be some programs that is in conflict with Windows. If it is others, I need to know the specific key to help.

Now...an update of the situation.

I cannot see any display.

Zilch.

I've changed to a compatible graphics card, no display. I've changed monitors, no display. But yet, the mobo and hdd is running, and I can see the starting up procedure done (via LEDs)

What happened before this was that I was talking with my friend, the screen flickered, and then it became black. Music was still playing, according to my friend I was still online. Yet, I cannot see a single thing on my screen. Black-ed out. Totally.

How to solve? Mobo problem?

It's either Windows is corrupted or could be your motherboard's problem. Try reformatting it first. If after reformatting it still doesn't solve your problem, it could be problems with your motherboard. If your warranty is still valid, try bringing it to authorized repair shops and repair.

Hmm cant even see my computer start up processes (like VGA card memory, BIOS etc) on my monitor, despite it being on...this should be a mobo problem I suppose?

Tried changing my graphics card but to no effect, nothing displays.

Looks like it could be the motherboard is having problems. You have to bring it to a repair shop.
