Solve step by step first.
1) Previously when you installed those games, did you update it?
For example, patches, fixes, etc?
2) Since you just downloaded it, is it the correct stable version
for it? There are some games which are just for 64-bit platform, so
if you are using a 32-bit platform, the games will not work.
3) Restart your computer and go into BIOS. Look at the temperature.
Is it nearing 50? If yes, your fan may not be working or it is
dirty.
4) Did you overclock your PC?
