Help with Nokia 6670 Messaging Function

photo_seeker SG

Sorry, it seems like my phone got buggy after I've upgraded my MMC Card.

Now whenever I got a message that come it, I don't get notified at all, meaning there's no ringing tone, no vibration nor any "New Message" messages appearing.

Anyone know if there's anyway that I can troubleshoot it ?

Another problem now is the notification for Missed Calls. It won’t get display too. What can be the reason behind it?

Maybe they'll flash the firmware? Anyone knows how to save your contacts, like back up ?

FireIce SG

u can ask them to do back up before servicing
the counter ppl can do the back up in front of u

R3SsH|n SG

or you can transfer the contacts to your computer via infra or bluetooth...there shld be a option somewhere around your phone book...

The back-up saves all my contacts which is in my phone's memory right? I just want to make sure before I go down to NCC tomorrow.

I'm using Nokia Content Copier now to back-up. Wonder does this back-up every contacts that I have inside the phone memory and also the calender? The games and stuffs should be still intact right?

FireIce SG

jus use the nokia suite to do a backup on everything lah

R3SsH|n SG

don't know...i don't use nokia...but i think if they reformat the phone...the games shld be gone...but they still should be available on nokia website...

6670 is a sybian phone?
if it is theres some programs to upload your contacts to your mmc card

photo_seeker SG

What's that programme ? Cause I'm looking the other time.

Use Nokia Content Copier to backup everything. Under settings you can set it to backup only memory card, phone memory or both.

You'll need to go service centre to reformat your phone. After reformatting ask them help you test whether the memory card you bought is compatible with the phone

My PC Suite cannot really do a back-up and thus I was advised to back-up the phone using the Phone Back-up to Memory Card function. But I'm unsure whether this will back-up my Contacts which is saved inside my Phone Memory and not SIM Card.

If I use the Restore to Factory Settings, will it be as efficient as the reformatting?

Problem Solved after removing the MMC Card to do a Hard Reset on my handphone and a reformat of the MMC Card via the PC and format again with my phone. Though lost the settings, save me the trouble of going to NCC to do it which needs me to leave my phone there for a day.

Does anyone know how to sync back my contacts onto my phone? It's saved into Nokia 6670 Contact, without any Sync Function. I'm trying hard not to key them individually.
