I don't know if Microsoft do that. But if you want to update it,
do this:
Go Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management.
Under Device Manager, find Infrared devices. Right click the device
and select Properties. A pop up window will appear. Under Driver
tab, select Update Driver.
