Clicking sound

hi all, sorry to trouble u all again but i got a fault.

today i just found out that my computer don't have those 'clicking sound' anymore. the sound that u hear when u open a folder, click 'back' or 'forward' etc.

any ideas how do i restore it back? thanks.

volume, music all that have, just no clicking sound. think got something to do with the explorer.

i can't find the exact setting. i don't think it's there.

If your computer does not give out any sound at all (not even MP3 etc) must be something with muting, audio device driver, speaker connection.

If it is only the clicking sound, go to Sound settings and click the "Sound" tab and look for Windows Explorer subheading, and item "Start Navigation".

i'm so used to hearing the clicking sound. somemore i also want to understand why this is happening and learn from it.

Try this. Open Control Panel. Go to Sound/Audio Devices. Select the Sound tab. Under Sound Scheme, choose Windows Default. Apply the settings. Try clicking the back or forward.

If don't have, restart computer to see if it works. If it works, then ok already.

ok guys i got it solved. i followed launtpc's advise and insert the sound for "Start Navigation" and "End Navigation". it's back to normal now. thank you all for your help. Mr. Green

no windows startup music
no error beeps

except for the gmail notifier that i can't turn it off...... Evil or Very Mad

i open a lot of internet browser when i'm online, so a simple 'click' sound will tell me that the page is being loaded/completed etc.

Totally no sounds. MSN Messenger will have sounds if you set the sign-in and sign out sounds.
